12 哄儿入睡 The dad lulls the son to sleep

①“嘘，听话，很晚了，快睡吧。”爸爸轻轻地对儿子说。

①“Hush, try to be a good child, son. Go to sleep now, it is late.” The dad says quietly.

②爸爸刚准备离开，儿子就哇哇大叫：“我还要爸爸陪我玩！”

②The dad is just going to leave, but the son shouts, “Daddy, I still want you to play with me.”

③爸爸又陪儿子玩了一会儿。

③Then, the dad plays with his son for a few moments longer.

④“这下该乖乖睡觉了吧！”爸爸又哄儿子到床上睡觉。

④“Now you should go to sleep, right？” The dad tries again to lull his son to sleep.

⑤谁知刚转身，就听见儿子大叫：“爸爸再陪我玩一会儿，就一会儿。”

⑤However, as the dad turns to go and he heard his son shouts again, “daddy, please play with me for a little longer.”

⑥爸爸只好再陪儿子玩一会儿。

⑥The dad has to play with the son for another few minutes.

⑦“我的小祖宗，现在总该睡觉了吧。”爸爸无奈地说。

⑦“Now, sir, you must go to sleep！” The dad says helplessly.

⑧“不，爸爸别走，我害怕。”儿子哭了起来。

⑧“No, daddy, please don’t go. I am afraid.” The son begins to cry.

⑨爸爸只好挤在儿子的小床上，陪儿子入睡。
